Forest Schools
Children need access and prolonged contact with natural spaces. Some centres use a woodland site on a weekly basis to build dens, create fires and whittle wood. Our approach with children from 0-5 is a Nature Kindergarten where they have outdoor access daily and for long blocks (up to 80%) of their time. It follows a Nordic pattern and so it comes as no suprise that that is where many designs for these resources are created.
